Dr. Capote graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in May of 2001, and went on to complete her Pediatric Internship and Pediatric Residency at University of Miami’s Holtz Children’s Hospital in June 2004. Upon the completion of her residency, she was honored to receive the Dr. Charles Pegelow Award “For Compassion, Dedication, Excellence, and Commitment to the Care of Children.” She has been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2005. She began her career with Manatee County Rural Health Service in July of 2004, and practiced there until October 2018, serving as Chief of Pediatrics from 2012-2017.
She is the extremely proud mother of two daughters, Emma and Lourdes and an active participant in their numerous activities. She enjoys photography and reading in her spare time, and the product of these passions adorn this website and the office walls of Capote Pediatrics.
